A sad note on email fundraiser

Thought I would give some closure if you were following my earlier posts about the email fundraising efforts for a local 19 year old needing a transplant. They needed to raise $500,000 by April 4th. The family more than exceeded that goal ($855,000) in total collected funds. Unfortunately, their son didn't stay in remission and he couldn't have the transplant. He passed away over the weekend. It makes one thankful for what one has and it also shows that even in this day and time people can be rallied for a very important cause. My thoughts and prayers are with this family in a very sad time.
